Oilers transfer Joensuu to SC Bern of Swiss league
Forward Jesse Joensuu was transferred by the Edmonton Oilers on Friday to SC Bern of the Swiss Elite League, the Oilers announced.

Forward Jesse Joensuu was transferred by the Edmonton Oilers on Friday to SC Bern of the National League A in Switzerland, the Oilers announced.

Joensuu played 62 games over the past two seasons with the Oilers, scoring five goals and nine points.

A second-round pick (No. 60) by the New York Islanders in the 2006 NHL Draft, the 27-year-old has 13 goals and 24 points in 129 games for the Islanders and Oilers.
