O'Neill helps IceCaps break losing streak with 3-2 win over Sharks

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Will O'Neil scored two power-play goals — including the eventual winner at 5:31 of the second period — as the St. John's IceCaps shook off a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Worcester Sharks in American Hockey League action on Saturday.

Austen Brassard also scored for the IceCaps (10-11-5), who were reeling after three straight 1-0 losses.

Evan Trupp and Melker Karlsson supplied the offence for Worcester (10-10-2), which outshot St. John's 43-22.

IceCaps goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 41 saves, while Aaron Dell turned aside 19 shots in the Sharks' loss.

St. John's was 2 for 2 on the power play. Worcester scored once on four chances with the man advantage.
