Penguins acquire forward Rob Klinkhammer from Coyotes for defenceman Samuelsson

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Rob Klinkhammer and a conditional draft pick from the Arizona Coyotes i for defenceman Philip Samuelsson.

Klinkhammer has three goals in 19 games this season for the Coyotes. He scored 11 goals and added nine assists in 72 games last year with Arizona and will give the Penguins needed depth up front.

Pittsburgh is without injured forwards Beau Bennett and Chris Kunitz. Veteran winger Pascal Dupuis is out for at least the rest of the regular season because of blood clots in his lungs.

Samuelsson, the 23-year-old son of longtime NHL defenceman Ulf Samuelsson, played in five games for the Penguins last season. He was a second-round pick in the 2009 draft and was considered one of the organization's top prospects.
