Canucks-Red Wings game delayed by power outage
The game Sunday between the Vancouver Canucks and Detroit Red Wings was delayed because of a power outage 29 seconds into the first period.

DETROIT -- The game between the Vancouver Canucks and the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday afternoon was halted 29 seconds into the first period because of a power issue at Joe Louis Arena.

Some of the lights went out in the arena, and both teams were sent back to their dressing rooms while the problem was being addressed.

The game resumed at 2:45 p.m. ET. following a delay of about 35 minutes.
