SUNDAY’S RESULTS

Home Team in Caps

DETROIT 5, Vancouver 3

RED WINGS "LIGHTS OUT" IN FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

Pavel Datsyuk scored twice and Danny DeKeyser’s first goal of the season stood as the game-winner as the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Vancouver Canucks 5-3 to earn their first four-game win streak of the season. Detroit has recorded points in 10 of their last 12 games (8-2-2) overall. Datsyuk now has nine goals and 15 points (9-6—15) in 13 games this season. The game was delayed 29 seconds into the first period after a power surge knocked out the lights in the building.

*Henrik Zetterberg (0-2—2) extended his point streak to four games (1-5—6). It was Zetterberg’s sixth multi-point/assist game of the season. He leads all Red Wings in assists (18) and points (23).

* Gustav Nyquist scored his team-leading 11th goal of the season. He now has seven power-play goals, tied with Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin for most in the NHL this season.

* Jimmy Howard made 30 saves to improve his record to 11-4-4. It was his 163rd career victory, tying Harry Lumley for third on the Red Wings all-time list behind only Terry Sawchuk (351) and Chris Osgood (317).
