FLEURY EARNS 300TH CAREER WIN

Marc-Andre Fleury became the 31st goaltender in NHL history to earn 300 wins when he made 27 saves in the Pittsburgh Penguins' 3-2 overtime victory against the Boston Bruins. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Fleury (547 games) becomes third-fastest goaltender to earn 300 wins, following Jacques Plante (521) and Andy Moog (543). At 29 years, 361 days, Fleury also becomes the third-youngest goaltender to earn 300 wins, following Martin Brodeur (29 years, 223 days) and Terry Sawchuk (29 years, 323 days).

* Evgeni Malkin (2-0—2) scored two goals, including the overtime winner. Malkin’s 10 goals tie him for first on the Penguins with Patric Hornqvist.

* Sidney Crosby (1-2—3) had his eighth multiple-point game of the season; he's had three or more points in six of those games. Crosby’s 29 points (9-20—29) tie him for first in the League with Philadelphia’s Jakub Voracek (7-22—29).

* Kris Letang (0-3—3) recorded his third multiple-point game of the season.

HALAK WINS SEVENTH STRAIGHT

Jaroslav Halak made 21 saves to backstop the New York Islanders to their fourth consecutive win, a 1-0 shootout victory against the Philadelphia Flyers. Halak has won his past seven starts, allowing eight goals during that stretch. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Halak is the first Islanders goaltender to win seven consecutive starts since Rick DiPietro from Feb. 11 to March 14, 2006.

* The Islanders have won nine of their last 10 games to push their record to 15-6-0 this season. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the Islanders have won 15 of their first 21 games for the first time in franchise history.

* The Islanders improved to 5-0 in the shootout this season and have won seven consecutive overall. The Islanders' shootout goals were scored by Frans Nielsen and John Tavares, who made multiple moves before beating Steve Mason.

WEISS GETS 400TH CAREER POINT WITH GAME-WINNER

The Detroit Red Wings scored four consecutive goals to take a 4-1 lead into the third period, then held off a comeback by the Ottawa Senators. Stephen Weiss (2-0—2) scored his first and second goals of the season, including the game winner, in his second game of the season to reach 400 points (149-251--400) in his NHL career. It was Weiss’ first goal in more than a calendar year (his last previous goal was Oct. 14, 2013, against Boston), and his first two-goal game in the regular season since Feb. 26, 2012, against the Montreal Canadiens as a member of the Florida Panthers.

* Tomas Tatar had an assist to extend his point-streak to six game (5-3--8).

* Gustav Nyquist (1-0—1) scored his team-leading 10th goal of the season.

* Goaltender Jimmy Howard made 23 saves in the win and also was credited with an assist, his first of the season.

ZUCKER, BACKSTROM LEAD WILD OVER PANTHERS

Jason Zucker scored twice and Niklas Backstrom made 29 saves, including 16 in the third period, to lead the Minnesota Wild to their fifth win in six games, a 4-1 victory against the Panthers. Backstrom is 6-0-1 in his career against Florida.

* Nino Niederreiter turned on the jets to score his team-leading 10th goal of the season (20 GP). His career high for goals in a season is 14, set in 2013-14 (81 GP).

* Mikko Koivu (0-2—2) recorded his first multiple-point game of the season and the 107th of his career.

LOOSE PUCKS

Philadelphia goaltender Steve Mason made 46 saves to earn his 24th career shutout (fifth with the Flyers). It marks the second time in his career that he has been credited with a shutout and lost in the shootout. ... Pittsburgh forward Craig Adams recorded his 100th career NHL assist. … Boston defenseman Joe Morrow scored his first career NHL goal and point in the game against the Penguins. Morrow was drafted by Pittsburgh in the first round (No. 23) in the 2011 NHL Draft. ... Detroit's Mike Babcock coached his 889th career game, tying Punch Imlach for 30th in NHL history. … Ottawa forward Bobby Ryan extended his point streak to five games with an assist (2-3--5)... Vancouver Canucks right wing Jannik Hansen, Detroit Red Wings left wing Tomas Tatar and Dallas Stars left wing Jamie Benn have been named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the week ending Nov. 23.
