Blackhawks place van Riemsdyk on long-term IR
The Chicago Blackhawks have placed defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk on long-term injury. van Riemsdyk, 23, has one assist in 18 games this season.

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled defenseman Stephen Johns and goaltender Antti Raanta from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and reassigned forward Joakim Nordstrom and goaltender Scott Darling to Rockford.

Additionally, the Blackhawks have placed defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk on long-term injury (LTI). van Riemsdyk, 23, has one assist in 18 games this season.
