CALLAHAN NETS TWO GOALS IN RETURN TO MSG

Ryan Callahan scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 5-1 win against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. It was his first game against the the team he started his NHL career with and captained from 2011-14. Callahan has nine points (4-5-9) in his past six games and the Lightning improved to 12-0-0 when Callahan scores a goal, dating back to last season.

* Steven Stamkos (1-2-3) scored a highlight-reel breakaway goal and added two assists in the win. Stamkos now has points in six straight games (4-5-9) and is tied for first in the NHL with 12 goals (Tyler Seguin-DAL, Rick Nash-NYR) and tied for third with 22 points.

* Tyler Johnson (0-2-2), Valtteri Filppula (0-2-2) and Ondrej Palat (0-2-2) also registered multi-point games for the Lightning.

* Tampa Bay improved to 8-1-1 over its past ten games and its 28 standings points (13-4-2) are one behind the Montreal Canadiens (14-4-1, 29 points) for first place overall in the League standings.

ST. LOUIS ALSO SCORES AGAINST FORMER TEAM

Facing the Tampa Bay Lightning for the first time since Jan. 8, 2000 as a member of the Calgary Flames, and for the first time since being traded from the team, Martin St. Louis scored his seventh goal of the season and first ever against the Lightning. With the goal, St. Louis has now scored against all 30 NHL teams.

* Prior to being traded to the Rangers on March 5, 2014, St. Louis recorded more assists (588) and points (953) than any player in Lightning history. He also ranks second in franchise games played (972) and goals (365).

The Hockey Hall of Fame inducted six new members on Monday night at a ceremony in Toronto.

In addition to Callahan, Monday night also marked the first time ex-Rangers Anton Stralman and Brian Boyle faced their former team. The trio received a round of applause from game attendees when a video tribute to them was played during a first period stoppage in play. … Rangers forward Derek Stepan recorded an assist in his 300th career NHL game. … St. Louis Blues center Jori Lehtera, Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price and Nashville Predators center Filip Forsberg have been named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the week ending Nov. 16.
