Igor Shesterkin stopped all 35 shots he faced to lead Russia to a 4-0 victory against the Ontario Hockey League in Peterborough, Ontario, on Thursday.
The Russians, who are undefeated through three games in the Subway Super Series, scored all of their goals in the second period after being outshot 13-4 in the first.
Konstantin Okulov opened the scoring 2:16 into the second period, and Rushan Rafikov made it 2-0 with a power-play goal at 12:27. Goals by Nikita Shatsky and Vladimir Bryukvin put Russia ahead by four goals entering the final period.
Spencer Martin made 22 saves for the OHL.
The Russians earned consecutive 3-2 victories against the Western Hockey League in the first two games of the series, which continues Monday with another game between Russia and the OHL, in Kingston, Ontario. Russia will play the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Tuesday in Bathurst, New Brunswick, and next Thursday in Rimouski, Quebec.
