Tyrell scores twice for Springfield Falcons in 6-4 win over St. John's IceCaps

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Dana Tyrell had two goals and an assist to lead the Springfield Falcons to a 6-4 victory over the St. John's IceCaps on Friday night in American Hockey League action.

Austin Madaisky, Sean Collins, Lukas Sedlak and Jerry D'Amigo also scored for the Falcons (6-5-1).

Kris Fredheim, Chase Balisy, John Albert and Will O'Neill replied for St. John's (3-7-4).

Oscar Dansk picked up the win for Springfield, turning aside 32 shots.

Peter Budaj made 21-of-26 saves for the IceCaps.

The Falcons failed to score on four power-play opportunities while St. John's found the back of the net twice on five attempts.
