Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall will be sidelined 2-4 weeks with an MCL sprain, the Oilers announced Sunday.
Hall was placed on injured reserve Monday and the Oilers called up defenseman Keith Aulie from Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League.
Hall was injured Saturday in a 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks when he lost his balance, crashed into the Canucks net and hit his right leg on the goal post and end boards. He had an assist in 6:50 of ice time.
The No. 1 pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, Hall leads the Oilers in scoring with six goals and 10 points in 11 games. His 27 goals and 80 points led Edmonton last season.
