OHL Roundup: Slater Doggett scores in overtime to lead Windsor past Mississauga

WINDSOR, Ont. - Slater Doggett scored his second of the game 2:06 into overtime as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Mississauga Steelheads 5-4 in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday night.

Markus Soberg, Ryan Foss and Josh Ho-Sang also found the back of the net for the Spitfires (4-7-1).

Sam Babintsev struck twice for the Steelheads (4-4-1) with Brandon Devlin and Bryson Cianfrone rounding out the offence.

Brendan Johnston turned aside 23 shots to get the win for Windsor while Spencer Martin kicked out 37 shots in the loss.

Both teams scored twice on the man advantage.

KNIGHTS 5 BULLS 1

LONDON, Ont. — Mitchell Marner scored one of four second-period goals for the Knights on the power play as they cruised by Belleville.

Christian Dvorak, Max Domi, Matt Rupert and Chandler Yakimowicz also scored for London (5-6-0).

Vancouver Canucks prospect Jordan Subban had the lone goal for the Bulls (9-2-0).

OTTERS 8 WOLVES 1

SUDBURY, Ont. — Mason Marchment struck twice for Erie in its rout of the Wolves.

Patrick Murphy, Kyle Petit, Taylor Raddysh, Dylan Strome, Travis Dermott and Connor McDavid rounded out the attack for the Otters (11-0-1). McDavid and Strome both added three assists.

Matt Schmalz scored his seventh of the year early in the third period for Sudbury (1-12-0).

RANGERS 5 WHALERS 3

PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Brent Pedersen had a goal and an assist as Kitchener skated past the Whalers.

Gustaf Franzen, Max Iafrate, Dmitrii Sergeev and Mike Davies supplied the rest of the Rangers (6-3-3) offence.

Matt Mistele, Sonny Milano and Mathew Campagna chipped in for Plymouth (6-6-1).

67's 6 STING 1

SARNIA, Ont. — Erik Bradford struck twice and added two assists for Ottawa in its dominant win over the Sting.

Tyler Hill, Artur Tyanulin, Brendan Bell and Dante Salituro also scored for the 67's (5-6-0).

Nikita Korostelev scored for Sarnia (4-6-2) at 19:48 of the third period to spoil the shutout bid.

GREYHOUNDS 4 PETES 2

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Jared McCann had a goal and an assist for the Greyhounds as they doubled up Peterborough.

Bryan Moore, Michael Bunting and Gabe Guertler also scored for Sault Ste. Marie (10-3-0).

Cameron Lizotte and Hunter Garlent both found the back of the net for the Petes (2-6-3).

BATTALION 4 COLTS 3

BARRIE, Ont. — Ray Huether scored early in the third period to put North Bay ahead two goals en route to beating the Colts.

David Sherman, Zach Bratina and Nick Paul rounded out the attack for the Battalion (6-2-3).

C.J. Garcia, Joseph Blandisi and Cordell James responded for Barrie (7-5-1).

ATTACK 3 STORM 2 (SO)

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Petrus Palmu had a goal in regulation and added another in the shootout for the Attack as they edged Guelph.

Kyle Platzer also scored in regulation and in the shootout for Owen Sound (8-3-3).

Tyler Bertuzzi had both goals for the Storm (6-3-3).
