HALL, NUGENT-HOPKINS LEAD OILERS TO FIRST WIN
Taylor Hall scored on a penalty shot (WATCH ) and had an assist, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ first goal of the season with 3:25 remaining in the third period (WATCH ) held up as the game-winner as the Edmonton Oilers earned their first win of the season.
* The Oilers improved their all-time home record against the Lightning to 11-4-0, including four straight wins in Edmonton.
* Hall scored his first career penalty-shot goal on his third attempt. He is the first Oilers player to score on a penalty shot since Marc Pouliot beat Toronto’s Andrew Raycroft on Feb. 17, 2007. He leads the Oilers with six points (four goals, two assists) in six games this season.
* Goaltender Ben Scrivens, in support of the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta, has commissioned four artists diagnosed with the disease to decorate masks to be worn and auctioned off for charity. He debuted the first Monday night.

Jonathan Drouin of the Tampa Bay Lightning saw 16:10 of ice time in his NHL debut. Drouin, who was selected by the Lightning with the third pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, was recalled Sunday from a two-game conditioning stint with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League; he had three points (one goal, two assists) with Syracuse. … Brian Boyle scored his first goal with the Lightning, and veteran forward Brenden Morrow recorded his first assist/point with Tampa Bay.
