The Anaheim Ducks have recalled goaltender John Gibson from the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).In addition, the Ducks have reassigned goaltender Jason LaBarbera to Norfolk.
Gibson, 21 (7/14/93), posted a 1-1-0 record with a 3.05 goals-against average (GAA) and .902 save percentage (SV%) in two games with Norfolk. Reassigned to Norfolk on Oct. 15, Gibson stopped 32-of-34 shots en route to a 3-2 win in his AHL season debut on Oct. 17 vs. Manchester. The 6-3, 216-pound goaltender has appeared in 48 career AHL games with Norfolk, going 22-18-4 with five shutouts, a 2.40 GAA and .917 SV%.
