Blue Jackets goalie McElhinney leaves game
Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Curtis McElhinney left the game against the Ottawa Senators in the second period with an injury and didn't return.

Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Curtis McElhinney left the game against the Ottawa Senators in the second period with an injury and did not return.

Teammate Nick Foligno collided with McElhinney, and each wound up in the Columbus net. The play was a goal by Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson at 7:02 that made it 2-0.

McElhinney was replaced by Sergei Bobrovsky, who played Friday in a 3-2 win against the Calgary Flames. The Blue Jackets tied the score before the end of the period, but Mike Hoffman beat Bobrovsky in the third period to give Ottawa a 3-2 victory.

The Blue Jackets do not play again until Thursday, when they begin a road trip against the San Jose Sharks.
