Jagr moves into sixth place on all-time scoring list
Jaromir Jagr of the New Jersey Devils moved into sixth place on the NHL's all-time scoring list with a second-period assist against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.

PHILADELPHIA -- New Jersey Devils right wing Jaromir Jagr moved into sole possession of sixth place on the NHL's all-time scoring list when he assisted on a goal by Mike Cammalleri 5:33 into the second period against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.

Jagr entered the Flyers' zone down the right wing, spun along the half boards and ripped a long shot that Cammalleri redirected with his stick past Flyers goaltender Steve Mason to the long side. The assist was his 1,756th point, moving him past Hall of Famer Steve Yzerman for sixth place.

Jagr also assisted on Cammalleri's empty-net goal, which wrapped up a 6-4 victory.

With 1,757 points, Jagr trails Marcel Dionne (731 goals, 1,771 points) by 14 points for fifth on the all-time list. Jagr, 42, who is in his 21st NHL season and second with the Devils, is also sixth on the all-time list with 705 goals, three behind Mike Gartner (708). His 1,052 assists rank eighth, 11 behind Yzerman.

Jagr is tied with Doug Gilmour for 19th on the all-time list in games played with 1,474. He also needs two more power-play goals to tie Yzerman for 15th place with 202.
