Coyotes' King to coach in Russia
Arizona Coyotes senior advisor Dave King is leaving the team to coach in Russia this season

Dave King, who served as senior adviser to the coaching staff with the Arizona Coyotes for three seasons, has been released from his contract to coach in Russia, according to general manager Don Maloney.

According to the KHL website, King will coach Lokomotiv. King finished last season as the coach there, leading it to the Western Conference final.

"We anticipate [King] will rejoin us once his KHL season has ended," Maloney said via the Coyotes' Twitter account.

King worked with Coyotes professional player development, including with coaches and players for the Portland Pirates in the American Hockey League. He assisted with special assignment scouting and the coaching staff in Arizona.
