Rookie Curtis Lazar makes case for joining Senators as Ottawa loses to Islanders

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Jack Skille scored the winning goal with 1:27 to play as the New York Islanders beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2 Monday in the opener of a pre-season double-header.

Sebastian Collberg and Brock Nelson also scored for the Islanders.

Alex Chiasson, part of the off-season trade that sent former Senators captain Jason Spezza to Dallas, and Cole Schneider scored Ottawa's goals.
