DeKeyser, Red Wings agree to two-year contract
Restricted free-agent defenseman Danny DeKeyser has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings, the team said Tuesday.

Restricted free agent defenseman Danny DeKeyser has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings, the team said Tuesday. No financial terms were disclosed, but Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports that the contract has an average annual value of $2.187 million.

The Red Wings disclosed the agreement via their Twitter account.

The 24-year-old had four goals, 23 points, 30 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating with the Red Wings in 2013-14, his first full NHL season. He did not have a point in five Stanley Cup Playoff games.

The Detroit native signed with the Red Wings on March 30, 2013, after playing three seasons at Western Michigan and played 11 games, earning one assist with two penalty minutes and a plus-4 rating.
