Oilers sign forward Chase to entry-level contract
The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Gregory Chase to a three-year entry-level contract.

The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Gregory Chase to a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced on Saturday. Financial details were not disclosed.

Edmonton's seventh-round pick (No. 188) in the 2013 NHL Draft, Chase scored one goal in five games with the Oilers' American Hockey League affiliate in Oklahoma City last season after completing his junior career with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League. Last season with the Hitmen, the Edmonton native tied for the team lead with 35 goals and 50 points. He also tied for the team lead with nine points in six postseason games as Calgary lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Kootenay Ice.
