Restricted free-agent defenseman John Moore has agreed to terms on a contract with the New York Rangers, the team announced Thursday.
No other details were released, but the New York Post reported Wednesday that Moore had signed a one-year, $850,500 contract.
Moore, 23, had career-bests with four goals and 15 points in 74 regular-season games, averaging 15:19 of ice time. He had two assists and a plus-2 rating in 21 Stanley Cup Playoff games, helping the Rangers advance to the Final for the first time in 20 years.
Moore was a first-round pick (No. 21) by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2009 NHL Draft. He was acquired by the Rangers in April 2013 as part of the trade that sent forward Marian Gaborik to Columbus.
In 173 NHL games with the Blue Jackets and Rangers, Moore has seven goals and 29 points.
