New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist will be in the spotlight when he visits "The Late Show with David Letterman" on Monday (11:35 p.m. ET, CBS).

Lundqvist has played for the Rangers since 2005 and reached the Stanley Cup Final last season after going 33-24-5 during the regular season with a 2.36 goals-against average and .920 save percentage.

The only goaltender to win at least 30 games in each of his first seven NHL seasons, Lundqvist won the Vezina Trophy as the League's top goaltender in 2012. He is tops on the Rangers' all-time list in wins (309) and shutouts (50).

The Rangers open the 2014-15 season on Oct. 9 against the St. Louis Blues.

Quote of the Day

Hopefully [Jonathan] has a year that pushes us, that is the organization, to speak to him next summer and looking for [a long-term contract]. Because the thought process is trying to get a goaltender, and hopefully it's Jonathan, to be the stabilizer for this franchise.
