Lundqvist has played for the Rangers since 2005 and reached the Stanley Cup Final last season after going 33-24-5 during the regular season with a 2.36 goals-against average and .920 save percentage.
The only goaltender to win at least 30 games in each of his first seven NHL seasons, Lundqvist won the Vezina Trophy as the League's top goaltender in 2012. He is tops on the Rangers' all-time list in wins (309) and shutouts (50).
There's no discouragement in that room. There's no issues there at all to be honest with you. It's more about, 'Hey, it's opportunities for players.'
