Restricted free-agent defenseman Brandon Manning signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Manning, 24, had eight goals, 31 points, a minus-24 rating and a team-high 231 penalty minutes in 73 games last season with the Adirondack Phantoms, the Flyers' American Hockey League affiliate.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound defender last played in the NHL during the 2012-13 season when he had two assists in six games.
In 10 NHL games, Manning has two points and a plus-5 rating.
