National Hockey League releases schedule for the 2014-15 pre-season

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The National Hockey League will make appearances at several neutral-site venues over the 15-day pre-season schedule beginning Sept. 21.

The 2014 Kraft Hockeyville game between the Calgary Flames and Arizona Coyotes will be played Sept. 24 at the Sylvan Lake Multiplex in Sylvan Lake, Alta., the NHL said Tuesday in a release.

Other Canadian neutral-site games will be played in London, Ont., (Philadelphia vs. Toronto, Sept. 22); Quebec City (Colorado vs. Montreal, Sept. 26); St. John's (NY Islanders vs. Ottawa split-squad doubleheader, Sept. 22) and Saskatoon (Chicago vs. Edmonton, Sept. 28).

In the United States, neutral-site games are set for Bridgeport, Conn. (Boston vs. N.Y. Islanders, Oct. 3); Brooklyn, N.Y. (New Jersey vs. NY Islanders, Sept. 26); Colorado Springs, Colo. (Colorado vs. Los Angeles, Oct. 2); Kansas City, Mo. (Dallas vs. St. Louis, Sept. 27); Las Vegas, Nev. (Colorado vs. Los Angeles, Oct. 4); and Stockton, Calif. (San Jose vs. Vancouver, Sept. 23).

The regular season begins Oct. 8.
