Forward TJ Galiardi and the Winnipeg Jets have agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000, the team said Friday.
Galiardi, 26, had four goals, 17 points and 21 penalty minutes in 62 games with the Calgary Flames last season. He has 43 goals, 104 points and 134 penalty minutes in 283 regular-season games with Calgary, the San Jose Sharks and Colorado Avalanche. Galiardi has one goal, four points and 18 penalty minutes in 20 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
He was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the second round (No. 55) of the 2007 NHL Draft.
He's, believe it or not, actually one of my favorite guys, and I've ended up trading him twice. I appreciate what he's done. He was one year away from being an unrestricted free agent, and I felt with this opportunity, that it was a chance that we were able to get somebody for him in Nick Bonino and Adam Clendening.
