NBC Sports Group announces 2014-15 schedule
NBC Sports Group will deliver coverage of 103 NHL regular-season games during the 2014-15 season, featuring 14 games on NBC and 89 games on NBCSN.

The Los Angeles Kings will have a national audience watching them raise their Stanley Cup banner when they open the 2014-15 season on NBCSN against the San Jose Sharks.

The Kings-Sharks game is the second half of an opening-night doubleheader that includes the first "Wednesday Night Rivalry" game of the season, when the Philadelphia Flyers visit the Boston Bruins.

Those are two of the 103 regular-season games NBC and NBCSN will televise this season. All games will stream live on NBC Sports Live Extra.

NBCSN will have games on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with a Sunday night game coming in January. "Wednesday Night Rivalry" returns to feature some of the biggest rivalries in the history of the game, and on 10 of the 24 WNR nights NBCSN will feature a second game between Western Conference teams.

The network also will televise the festivities from All-Star Weekend at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, with the NHL All-Star Skills Competition on Jan. 24 and the 60th NHL All-Star Game on Jan. 25.

Coverage on NBC starts Friday, Nov. 28, with the NHL Thanksgiving Showdown between the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers. NBC also will have a game of the week, generally on Sunday afternoons.

NBC also will televise the 2015 NHL Winter Classic between the Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitals on Jan. 1, 2015.

The Bruins, Flyers, Capitals, Kings and Sharks each will make 12 appearances across NBC and NBCSN. The most featured matchups will be the Bruins against the Detroit Red Wings; the Blackhawks against the St. Louis Blues; the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Flyers; and the Kings and Sharks.

Returning to the NBC broadcast booth for its main telecasts will be two-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play voice Mike "Doc" Emrick, as well as analyst Eddie Olczyk and Emmy-award winning "Inside the Glass" analyst Pierre McGuire.
