NEW YORK, N.Y. - The New York Rangers signed free agent forward Lee Stempniak on Saturday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Stempniak played in 73 games with the Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins last season, registering 12 goals, 22 assists, and 32 penalty minutes.
In 637 career NHL games St. Louis, Toronto, Phoenix, Calgary, and Pittsburgh, Stempniak has 150 goals, 191 assists, and 233 penalty minutes.
Stempniak was originally selected by St. Louis in the fifth round, 148th overall, of the 2003 NHL draft.
