Maple Leafs sign forward Jamie Devane to two-year contract

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple have signed forward Jamie Devane to a two-year contract.

Devane, 23, played two games for the Maple Leafs last season, going scoreless. The six-foot-five, 217-pound forward made his NHL debut Oct. 5 versus the Ottawa Senators.

Devane also played 55 games for the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League last season, collecting eight points (four goals, four assists) and leading the team with 146 penalty minutes.

The native of Mississauga, Ont., was selected by Toronto in the third round, 68th overall, at the 2009 draft.
