Pasquale signs two-way contract with Capitals
Edward Pasquale signs two-way contract with Washington Capitals.

Restricted free agent goaltender Edward Pasquale signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Washington Capitals on Wednesday. Financial terms were not released.

The Capitals acquired Pasquale from the Winnipeg Jets on June 28 along with a 2014 sixth-round draft pick in exchange for sixth- and seventh-round picks in the 2014 NHL Draft.

Pasquale, 23, was 17-13-1 with a 2.43 goals-against average and .920 save percentage in 31 games with the St. John's Ice Caps of the American Hockey League last season. He was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the fourth round (No. 117) at the 2009 NHL Draft.
