Restricted free agent goaltender Edward Pasquale signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Washington Capitals on Wednesday. Financial terms were not released.

The Capitals acquired Pasquale from the Winnipeg Jets on June 28 along with a 2014 sixth-round draft pick in exchange for sixth- and seventh-round picks in the 2014 NHL Draft.
