Zanon, Olson sign two-way contracts with Panthers
Defenseman Greg Zanon and center Brett Olson signed one-year, two-way contracts with the Florida Panthers on Tuesday.

Defenseman Greg Zanon and center Brett Olson each signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Florida Panthers on Tuesday.

Zanon, 34, had four assists and a minus-4 rating in 24 games last season with the San Antonio Rampage, the Panthers' American Hockey League affiliate. He last played in the NHL in 2012-13, when he had six points and a minus-16 rating in 44 games with the Colorado Avalanche.

A 2000 fifth-round pick of the Ottawa Senators (No. 156), Zanon has 62 points in 493 NHL games with the Nashville Predators, Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins and Avalanche.

Olson, 27, had 17 goals and 41 points in 75 games with the Abbotsford Heat of the AHL last season.
