Weisbrod joins the Canucks after serving three years as assistant general manager of player personnel for the Calgary Flames. He was director of professional and collegiate scouting for the Boston Bruins from 2006-2011 and served as a pro scout for the Dallas Stars during the 2005-06 season.
Weisbrod played for Harvard from 1987-1991 and won an NCAA championship in 1989. He was selected in the fourth round (No. 73) of the 1987 NHL Draft by the Minnesota North Stars.
