Predators re-sign defenseman Joe Piskula
The Nashville Predators on Friday re-signed defenseman Joe Piskula to a one-year, two-way contract worth $550,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 at the American Hockey League level.

The Nashville Predators on Friday re-signed defenseman Joe Piskula to a one-year, two-way contract worth $550,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 at the American Hockey League level.

Piskula, who turns 30 Saturday, played two games for the Predators in 2013-14 and has played in 12 NHL games with Nashville, the Calgary Flames and Los Angeles Kings since 2006-07, going scoreless with eight penalty minutes.

He spent most of last season with Nashville's AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, scoring three goals and finishing with 23 points, 56 PIM and a plus-20 rating in 73 games. He has 12 goals, 97 points and 391 penalty minutes in 466 AHL games.
