Ducks sign Stoner, LaBarbera to contracts
The Anaheim Ducks signed defenseman Clayton Stoner to a four-year contract and goaltender Jason LaBarbera to a one-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday signed defenseman Clayton Stoner to a four-year contract and goaltender Jason LaBarbera to a one-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

"I'd like to keep growing and improving. Hopefully, the next few years here in Anaheim are the best of my career," Stoner said.

Stoner, 29, was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the third round (No. 79) of the 2004 NHL Draft and played his first five seasons in the League for the Wild. He had one goal, five points and 84 penalty minutes in 63 regular-season games last season, and one goal and three points in 13 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Stoner has four goals, 31 points and 296 penalty minutes in 227 games.

LaBarbera, 34, has appeared in 182 NHL games, including seven with the Edmonton Oilers last season when he was 1-3-0 with a 3.28 goals-against average and .870 save percentage.

He has played 182 NHL games with the New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Phoenix Coyotes and the Oilers, with a 60-73-19 record, 2.80 GAA and .907 save percentage.
