Kesler gets his wish as Canucks take next step by trading centre to Ducks

PHILADELPHIA - The Vancouver Canucks have traded veteran centre Ryan Kesler to the Anaheim Ducks.

A source says details are still being finalized. It's not clear what the Canucks receive in return.

Kesler, 29, had 25 goals and 18 assists in 81 games last season with Vancouver.

Kesler has spent his entire NHL career with the Canucks, registering 181 goals and 211 assists 654 career games. Vancouver took Kesler No. 23 overall in the 2003 NHL entry draft.
