Lightning re-sign forward J.T. Brown
The Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday re-signed forward J.T. Brown to a two-year, one-way contract. No financial terms were disclosed.

The Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday re-signed forward J.T. Brown to a two-year, one-way contract. No financial terms were disclosed.

Brown, signed by the Lightning as an undrafted free agent on March 28, 2012, played 63 games with Tampa Bay this season, scoring four goals and finishing with 19 points in 13:02 in ice time per game. He ranked fourth among Tampa Bay rookies in assists (15) and points. Brown also played in all four of the Lightning's Stanley Cup Playoff games in 2014, contributing two assists and averaging 14:59 of ice time.

The 23-year-old Rosemount, Minn., native has played in 68 NHL games, all with Tampa Bay, with four goals and 20 points. He joined the Lightning after scoring 40 goals and 84 points in 81 games during two seasons at Minnesota-Duluth; he was named the Most Outstanding Player in the 2011 NCAA Frozen Four after leading the Bulldogs to the national championship.

The signing came hours after the Lightning signed forward Ryan Callahan to a six-year contract.
