The Detroit Red Wings have signed left wing Tomas Nosek to a two-year entry-level contract, the team announced Saturday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Nosek, 21, played his third season for HC Pardubice in the Czech ExtraLiga. He led the team with 44 points (19 goals) and a plus-17 rating in 52 games.
A native of Pardubice, Czech Republic, Nosek (6-foot-2, 201 pounds) has played 129 games in the top league since 2011-12, with 62 points (24 goals). He had 125 points (53 goals) in 109 games at the under-20 level for HC Pardubice.
Nosek was the Czech Republic captain at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship; he had one assist in six games.
