Lewis: Kings need more traffic in front of Lundqvist
The Los Angeles Kings need to get more traffic in front of New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist and be more desperate in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, Trevor Lewis says.

Los Angeles Kings forward Trevor Lewis will be blogging for NHL.com throughout the Stanley Cup Final, offering his insight on what is happening inside the walls of his team's locker room and within the confines of the rink.

NEW YORK -- I think the Rangers came out more desperate than us tonight.

We knew they would be, and we definitely need to raise our desperation level if we want to close this series. We were still in the game going into the third period, but just couldn't get one past [Henrik] Lundqvist.

There was a lot of positive talk on the bench. We were trying to keep everyone going, trying to keep going and keep getting pucks to the net. We wanted to do everything you can to try and get one in there.

We had a couple on the goal line that didn't go in the net tonight. We just have to get back to playing like we want to.

You're always hoping that those pucks will go in. We need to do a better job of bearing down and getting more traffic in front of the goalie to try and take his eyes away.

It was 41 shots on net and that's good, but if you don't have as much traffic in front of the net, a great goalie like Lundqvist is going to see them from the outside. He's going to stop those ones. We have to make sure we get back to getting more bodies in front of him.

We are going to fly back to Los Angeles right after the game instead of waiting until the morning like when we came to New York. I think everyone will probably go to sleep on the plane right now. It will be nice to get some extra sleep. We'll get home and get some more rest. Then we'll get to the rink [Thursday] morning and get ready for the next one.

We need to get refocused and get ready for Game 5. I think we need to be more desperate. I think we need to try and play like we are down 3-1 in the series and not up 3-1.
