Flyers sign French forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare
The Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday announced they have signed French forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare to an NHL contract.

The Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday announced they have signed forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare to an NHL contract. Financial terms were not disclosed by the team.

The 29-year-old native of Paris, France, has spent the past five seasons with Skelleftea of the Swedish Hockey League. He had 20 goals and 35 points in 52 games in 2013-14 and has 64 goals and 125 points in 238 career games.

Bellemare played for France in the 2014 IIHF World Championship in Belarus, where he had three goals and eight points in eight games. He also scored the decisive shootout goal in France's 3-2 upset victory against Canada in the preliminary round.
