PITTSBURGH, États-Unis - Les Penguins de Pittsburgh ont embauché le dirigeant de longue date des Hurricanes de la Caroline Jason Karmanos pour occuper le poste de vice-président des opérations hockey.
Karmanos retrouvera donc Jim Rutherford, le nouveau directeur général des Penguins. L'ancien directeur général des Canes a remplacé Ray Shero à Pittsburgh, la semaine dernière.
Karmanos a occupé différents rôles sous la direction de Rutherford en Caroline, dont ceux d'adjoint au directeur général et de directeur exécutif des opérations hockey. L'homme de 40 ans se joint à un personnel de gestion qui comprend déjà le directeur général associé Jason Botterill ainsi que les d.g. adjoints Tom Fitzgerald et Bill Guerin.
