Brodeur's son Jeremy signs with Oshawa Generals
Goaltender Jeremy Brodeur, another of the sons of New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur, has signed with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League.

Goaltender Jeremy Brodeur, another of the sons of New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur, has signed with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, the club announced Thursday.

"I am really excited and honored to have signed with an organization like the Oshawa Generals," Brodeur, 17, said. "I want to work really hard this summer on and off the ice to be in top shape come main camp. I am going to do as much as I can to help this team be as successful as possible."

Brodeur, an eighth-round pick of Oshawa in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection, followed in the footsteps of brother Anthony by playing at Shattuck St. Mary's, where he went 22-4-0 in 26 appearances with a 2.18 goals-against average, .916 save percentage and four shutouts.

"We are very excited to have signed Jeremy today, we knew once we had drafted Jeremy that he would complete another season at Shattuck's before potentially making the jump to the Ontario Hockey League," Oshawa general manager Roger Hunt said. "We couldn't be happier with the progression in Jeremy's development and we are excited to have him round out our goaltending tandem."

Anthony Brodeur, also a goalie, was picked in the seventh round (No. 208) by the Devils in the 2013 NHL Draft at New Jersey's Prudential Center. Martin Brodeur, the NHL's all-time leader in wins and shutouts by a goalie, announced the selection. Anthony played this season for the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, going 13-10-2 in 30 games with a 2.90 GAA and .887 save percentage.
