CHICAGO - Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw has been ruled out for Game 2 of the Western Conference final against the Los Angeles Kings.
Coach Joel Quenneville says Shaw wanted to play on Wednesday, but they decided to try for Saturday's Game 3 in Los Angeles instead. Quenneville says the move gives Shaw more time to get up to speed.
Shaw missed the final five games of Chicago's second-round series against Minnesota with an apparent right leg injury and then sat out for Sunday's opening win against the Kings.
Shaw has two goals and two assists in the playoffs after he set career highs with 20 goals and 19 assists during the regular season.
