Select NHL players took to Twitter on Mother's Day to extend their wishes to their moms.

Select NHL players took to Twitter on Mother's Day to extend their wishes to their moms.

Among the highlights include New York Islanders forward Kyle Okposo not only thanking his mom, but extending his wishes to his wife, Danielle, who his celebrating her first Mother's Day. Elliana Okposo was born in January.

According to Florida Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo, Mother's Day is the only time of year he makes his own bed. And the NHL simply asked, "Who needs a vase when you have the Stanley Cup?" while providing a picture of flowers inside the trophy.
