Blackhawks forward Bollig to have hearing
Blackhawks forward Brandon Bollig will have a hearing Saturday with the NHL Department of Player Safety for his hit on Wild defenseman Keith Ballard.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Brandon Bollig will have a hearing Saturday with the NHL Department of Player Safety for his hit from behind on Minnesota Wild defenseman Keith Ballard during the second period Friday at Xcel Energy Center.

The hearing is not in person.

Bollig was issued a boarding penalty on the play at 17:13 of the second period.

Minnesota won Game 4 of the Western Conference Second Round Series 4-2. Ballard did not return to the game and will not play in Game 5 in Chicago.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: Boarding/checking from behind. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
