Ducks dominated: Anze Kopitar leads LA Kings' strong play against Anaheim's top line so far

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - Anze Kopitar politely disagrees with the idea that the Los Angeles Kings' top line has dominated the Anaheim Ducks' best scorers in their second-round playoff series.

While it's Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau who suggested the idea, it's clear Kopitar and his linemates are doing something right to put the Kings in control of the series so far.

Kopitar has been one of the NHL's best centres for several years. Yet even when he raised the Stanley Cup as the playoffs' co-scoring leader two years ago, he never got as much international attention as he did this winter.

Kopitar is the Kings' leading scorer for the seventh straight year. He's also an Olympic quarterfinalist with Slovenia and a first-time finalist for the Selke Trophy as the league's best defensive forward.

Quote of the Day

He scores 50 goals, they go in, they go in, and they go in. And I think, 'Why can't I do that?'
