Chicago Blackhawks scratch F Kris Versteeg for Game 6 against St. Louis Blues

CHICAGO - The Blackhawks have scratched forward Kris Versteeg for Game 6 of their first-round playoff series against the St. Louis Blues.

Versteeg played in each of the first five playoff games, compiling two assists. He also warmed up before Sunday's game.

Forward Joakim Nordstrom was active for the first time in the post-season.

Blackhawks defenceman Brent Seabrook also returned after he was suspended for the previous three games. With Seabrook active, defenceman Sheldon Brookbank was scratched.

Quote of the Day

There's no discouragement in that room. There's no issues there at all to be honest with you. It's more about, 'Hey, it's opportunities for players.' And if we become that bad of a team because of one player, it's not a real good sign for our hockey club. So this is part of sports. It's part of hockey.
