St. John's IceCaps forward Jerome Samson named AHL player of week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - St. John's IceCaps right-winger Jerome Samson was named American Hockey League player of the week Monday.

He had seven points (two goals, five assists) over two games last week as the IceCaps closed out their regular season with a pair of road wins.

Samson, a seventh-year pro, finished the regular season with 56 points (27-29) in 68 games.
