Samson four points, Hutchinson 23 saves as IceCaps blank Sharks 6-0

WORCESTER, Mass. - Jerome Samson scored once and set up three more and Michael Hutchinson made 23 saves as the St. John's IceCaps blanked the host Worcester Sharks 6-0 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Eric O'Dell, Ben Chiarot, Kyle MacKinnon, Josh Lunden and Carl Klingberg also scored for the IceCaps (45-23-7) and J.C. Lipon tacked on three assists.

Rylan Schwartz led the Sharks (35-34-6) with six shots on Hutchinson while Dan DaSilva was a team-worst minus-3.

Worcester's Harri Sateri allowed six goals on 28 shots in defeat.

St. John's went 1 for 5 on the power play while the Sharks failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
