Abbotsford Heat ride big second period for 3-1 win over San Antonio Rampage

SAN ANTONIO - The Abbotsford Heat scored three consecutive goals en route to a 3-1 victory over the San Antonio Rampage on Thursday in American Hockey League action.

Ben Hanowski, Blair Jones and Corey Locke all scored in a span of 5:45 for Abbotsford (41-25-8). Joni Ortio made 32 saves for the win.

John McFarland's power-play goal was the only offence San Antonio (30-36-9) had. Scott Clemmensen stopped 24-of-27 shots for the Rampage.

The Heat went 0 for 3 on the power play, while San Antonio were 1 for 3 with the man advantage.
