Video game simulation has Boston Bruins winning Stanley Cup over San Jose Sharks

TORONTO - A video game simulation has the Boston Bruins winning the Stanley Cup in six games against the San Jose Sharks.

The EA Sports simulation, using the made-in-Vancouver "NHL 14" game, has Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask winning the Conn Smythe Trophy with a goals-against average of 1.56 and .948 save percentage with four shutouts.

The simulation has goalies Carey Price and Henrik Lundqvist leading Montreal and the New York Rangers, respectively, to 4-0 first-round sweeps.

The defending champion Chicago Blackhawks' dream of a Stanley Cup repeat come to an end in the second round in a seven-game series with the upstart Colorado Avalanche.

The Bruins advance to the final by dispatching the Rangers, with Patrice Bergeron scoring the winner five minutes in overtime in Game 7.

Quote of the Day

The fans love it, and it looked like they were having fun. It was great to see this city [Columbus]. They had been waiting a couple years for this game. They did it right.
